Our purpose built facility caters for children aged 3 months to 4 years old, and is split into three dedicated rooms. Our “Explorers” baby room is for children from 3 months old until their second birthday. When children turn 2, they move to our “Discoverers” room until their 3rd birthday, at which point they move into our Nursery School, the “Adventurers” room, where they stay until they start primary school. Each room has an all-weather outdoor space and we are strong believers in the benefits of outdoor learning.
Brougham Street Nursery School is the most flexible childcare provision in Skipton and the surrounding area. We are open for 51 weeks of the year, from 7:30am until 6pm.
“Explorers” Baby Room 0-2 years
Places are available as a long day 7:30-6pm, a short day 8am-4pm, or a half day (AM or PM). These places are full year bookings.
“Discoverers” Toddler Room 2-3 years
Places are available as long, short or half day as with babies. In addition we can offer Term Time only places for children in receipt of 15 hours of funding. To find out more information about your eligibility for the 2 year old funded places, please follow this link or speak to Sallie in reception. Parents who are accessing 2 year old funding can also buy additional sessions.
“Adventurers” Nursery School Room 3-4 years
Each child is eligible for 15 hours of funded early years education from the term after their third birthday. Brougham Street Nursery School is pleased to offer these 15 funded hours, and also the 30 funded hours for children whose parents meet the Government’s criteria, which can be found here. Extra sessions are available to buy.
The Nursery School sessions are as follows:
Morning session: 8:45 - 11:45 am
Lunch: 11:45 - 12:15pm
Afternoon session: 12:15 - 3:15pm
Early Tea Club: 3:15 - 4pm
Late Tea Club: 3:15 - 6pm
We also provide care during the holidays, and you can stretch your 30 hours entitlement to cover this. Please speak to Sallie for more information.
